Tour itinerary
Arrival

  • You will be picked up from the airport and brought to your accommodation.
    Before the beginning of the safari, accommodation can be arranged for an extra cost.
day 1

Travel to Kibale National Park

After breakfast you are picked up form your accommodation by a guide of Mugenyi Eco-Tours who will brief you about the safari. We proceed to Western Uganda, stop over at Mubende Town for a brief coffee, tea and snack break.
We continue driving to a tea plantation. At Fort Portal we will be arriving in time for lunch with locals at a home stead.
Afterwards, you can look forward to have a nature walk at the Crater Lakes, rock formations etc in Kibale National Park. Dinner will be held at your lodge.

day 2

Chimpanze Tracking


After early morning breakfast we shall go to the Kanyanchu Park headquarters for a short briefing and enter the forest for chimp tracking. Chimps are the closest to human beings, other primates like red-tailed monkey, colobus monkey etc. can be seen. Afterwards we continue to for a Game Drive within Queen Elizabeth National Park. Lots of animals and bird species can be seen in the open savanna.

day 3

Game Drive and Boat Cruise

After an early breakfast we start the day with a Game Drive within Queen Elizabeth National Park. We will be back to the lodge for lunch. Afterwards we go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. Expect to see elephants, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles basking along the channel.
Then we proceed to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through Ishasha in the late evening, in order to continue to the gorilla tracking for the next day.

day 4

Gorilla Trekking

We will have a take-away breakfast as we go to the Impenetrable Park to trek the gorillas. Afterwards we shall have a community walk to interact with the Batwa people, who used to live in the forest .

day 5

Depature

After breakfast we depart for Kampala via Kabale and Mbarara. Lunch will be held en route. Kampala will be reached in the evening.
Here marks the end of the safari.
